Wingate, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse team lost their SAC opener as the #15 ranked Wingate Bulldogs scored the first seven goals on their way to a 16-4 win over the Bears. Ellie Campbell scored two of the four goals for the Bears as LR scored a single goal in each quarter.  Sally Friesen made a career high 18 saves in the contest. 18 saves by Friesen is 4th most in a single game by a Bear in program history.

• Wingate scored the first seven goals of the game before Kirra Olson got the Bears on the board. 
• The Bears scored one goal in each quarter as Campbell scored in the second and fourth periods for the Bears.
• Alexa Burghardt got the Bears third goal as Wingate scored six of the last seven goals to seal the victory. 
• Frisen made 18 saves which was a career high. Frisen had 22 saves in her first three games of the season. 
• Anneleise Meyer and Makenna Filley each caused two turnovers on the afternoon.

• After the Bears won the first seven games between these two programs, Wingate has now won the last four. 
• This is also the earliest these two teams have played in the season/ This is the first time they have played in February. 
• Four of the next five games are in Hickory for the Bears only a short trip to Limestone is on tap the next three weeks. 
• Tieanna Sieben holds the record for saves in a game as Sieben had 21 saves in a game against Newberry last season.
