March is National Athletic Trainers Month and we wanted to spotlight the AT's at Lenoir-Rhyne who make such a big difference on the lives of our student-athletes. Athletic Trainers are the caregivers of the department and make sure all of the health and wellness of our 700+ student-athletes are at the forefront. They are selfless and driven to provide the best care and we wanted to make sure they felt the appreciation we all have for them.
Starting off the NATM spotlight is Allie Dudick. Get to know Allie below.

How did you get into athletic training?
I originally wanted to be a physical therapist. However, a lot my friends were applying to the athletic training program at Cortland and after hearing them talk about their classes and their experience, I felt that this profession aligned more with what I wanted to do as a career.
Favorite Lenoir-Rhyne moment/memory?
Winning a national championship with men's lacrosse in 2023
Favorite Athletic Training moment/memory?
I think everywhere I have worked and all the team and staff's that I have been a part of have contributed to my favorite moments. From winning conference championships to returning student athletes from serious injuries; I love having the opportunities to make new memories as years progress.
Who do you root for when you aren't rooting for LR?
New York Giants, New York Yankees and New York Islanders.
What are your hobbies/what keeps you busy when you aren't at LR?
Hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with husband Mike and son Wyatt and our dogs Casper and Placid.
What do you want people to know about Athletic Training that don't know what goes on behind the scenes?
We do so much more then just set up for practice and fill water bottles. We try to provide resources and support for every aspect of the student-athletes life. I am a huge advocate for mental health and want to make sure all athletes understand how important they are outside of athletics.
