Belmont, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse team dropped a non-conference tilt Wednesday night at Belmont Abbey 14-4. Anneleise Meyer scored a pair of goals while Sally Friesen made six saves in goal for the Bears. LR will return to conference play with road games at Tusculum and Catawba.

STATS OF THE GAME

• Chloe Christensen got the Bears on the board to tie it at 1-1
• Belmont Abbey then scored the next six goals before Meyer and Alexa Burghardt got the Bears within four at halftime. 
• However Belmont Abbey came out hot after the break and scored the next seven goals before Meyer's second goal ended the scoring.
• Madison Brugger added an assist for LR while MaKenna Finnley and Meyer had three ground balls. 
• Friesen made six saves in goal for the Bears.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Second straight year these two teams faced off in Belmont.
• Bears have two more road games left in the regular season. 
• Christensen's goal was her 15th of the season.
• Friesen is up to 114 saves on the year.
