Longwood, Fla.-- After winning 1-0 on the first day of the World Series, The Lenoir-Rhyne Softball team was on the other end of the 1-0 game on day two as Indianapolis's Kenzee Smith pitched an one hit complete game shutout as the Greyhounds defeated the Bears 1-0. LR will look to rebound Tuesday evening as the Bears will face the winner of Wilmington and Augustana.

- Yesterday win was not only the Bears first ever World Series win, it was also the first win for any SAC schools in the World Series.

GAME INFO:
- Indy's Kenzee Smith was the story in this game as Smith bought her .35 ERA into the game and actually lowered it as Smith did not allow a run and only allowed an one-out single to Mardigian in the 7th inning.
- The Greyhounds got their run in the 3rd inning as Indianapolis had two out and no one but got three straight singles as Braxt Downs delivered the two-out RBI single to give the Greyhounds their only run of the game.
- Downs almost blew the game open with a three-run home run in the 5th but Abbey Nixon made a spectacular catch to rob the homerun and keep the game at 1-0.
- However the Bears could not get anything going against Smith as Smith had a perfect game going into the two out walk in the 5th and the no-hitter going into one out in the seventh.
- Bears had only runners on base today and no one advanced past first.
- Madison Wilson suffered her first post season loss as the freshman give up the run in three innings pitched while Faith Carrigan threw four shutout innings in relief.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- It was only the Bears second shutout of the year, LR lost at North Georgia 6-0 early in the year.
- In two games at this world series, The Bears have scored one run and allowed one run in sixteen innings of play.
