CLEVELAND, TN.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team used a late goal by
Ava Hartman in the 83th minute to come back and tie No. 12 Lee in an early season nationally ranked match up. The No. 8 Bears went into Cleveland and tied the Flames 1-1 on their home turf. The Bears will now prepare to open conference play with a trip to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The first half was scoreless as the Bears had seven shots to Lee's four.
- Lee's Grace Berry got the game's first goal in the 57th minute.
- With just 7:45 left in the game, Ava Hartman give the Bears the equalizer with her first goal of the season.
- The Bears had a shot at the game winner in the final minutes but Lee's goalkeeper Abby Whitcomb made a diving save on LR's Kate Casey to keep the game tied at one.
- Casey lead the Bears with three shots on goal on the night.
- Despite the scoreline, the Bears dominated the second half, out-shooting Lee 10-2.
- Lee's Abby Whitcomb made eight saves in goal while Riley Miller made two saves for the Bears.
- LR also had a 8-2 advantage on corner kicks in the contest.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This is the second straight year the two teams played to a 1-1 tie.
- These were also the only two match ups between the squads.
- LR will conclude their three game road trip on Saturday at Lincoln Memorial.
- Bears started a three games in six days stretch tonight that will conclude with the home opener on Tuesday.
