HICKORY, NC - Putting in their most goals in a game since the 2011 season, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team opened the home portion of their schedule with a five-goal first half. The Bears added two more in the second half, cruising to a 7-0 victory over Emory & Henry on Saturday evening.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears got the board in the 12th minute with a goal from Fran Tita, who beat the keeper high to make it a 1-0 game.
- Daniel Martinez added the Bears second goal in the 19th minute, with David Grifell got his first of two assists in the first half.
- Raul Canas and Voro Rivera Peris scored two goals in a 3:20 span to give the Bears a 4-0 lead.
- Gullermo Garcia capped off the first half scoring with a goal in the 38th minute.
- Oskar Dahlberg and Ido Omaysi added second half goals for the Bears, giving them a seven spot for the first time in 13 years.
- LR held Emory & Henry to just one shot, outshooting them 26-14, including a 14-1 advantage in shots-on-goal.
- The Bears had 11 corner kicks to the Wasps zero.
- Tomas Fontes made the save on the Wasps only shot of the contest.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bears defeated Newberry 7-0 on October 15, 2011.
- Tita's goal was his second of the season.
- Ryan Baker had an assist on Omaysi's goal in the second half.
- This was the Bear's second straight clean sheet to open SAC play.
