HICKORY, NC - It was a battle of familiar foes on Wednesday afternoon, as the No. 11 Bears hosted the No. 4 Columbus State Cougars. In what was a tale of two halves, both teams scored two second-half goals to finish in a 2-2 draw.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- It was an uneventful first half as the teams went into the break 0-0.
- Ava Hartman broke the tie in the 47th minute, scoring off Tea Sabin assist.
- Columbus State answered, tying the game just two minutes later.Â
- CSU's Lauren Barnes gave the Cougars the lead with a penalty kick goal in the 53rd minute.
- Sabin continued the early half scoring push, evening the game at 2-2 with a rocket of a goal in the 58th minute.
- Both teams had chances late, but both goalkeepers made great saves to keep it at a draw.
- Columbus State held a 19-12 edge on shots, and a 10-6 advantage on shots-on-goal.
- Riley Miller made a season high eight saves in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This game was a rematch of last year's NCAA Second Round, which saw LR come out on top after PK's.Â
- LR now has a 2-4-4 record all-time vs. Columbus State.
- Evan O'Leary, who assisted the second goal, now has a team and SAC leading five assists on the season.
- Carola Busquets received a red card in the 53rd minute for a deliberate handball denying a goal scoring opportunity.Â
