Bears drop opener to nationally ranked Lynn

BOCA RATON, FL - Following a stalemate of a first half, the #19 Lynn Fighting Knights put in four unanswered goals in the second half to take down Lenoir-Rhyne 4-0 in the Bears' season opener.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
  • Despite Lynn out shooting Lenoir-Rhyne 10-2 in the first half, the teams went into the break tied at 0-0.
  • Raul Canas and Daniel Martinez recorded the only shots of the half for the Bears.
  • Lynn opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the 49th minute.
  • The Fighting Knights scored three goals from the 67th to the 74th minute to put the game away.
  • LR received two yellow cards in the match, while Lynn was given five yellows and a red.
