WISE, VA - The Bears found themselves in unfamiliar territory on Sunday, as they dropped a 90-86 overtime contest at UVA Wise. This marks Lenoir-Rhyne's first loss since they fell to Carson-Newman on November 16th. This was a back-and-forth battle, as there were 18 lead changes and 20 ties in the contest. Neither team led by more than five in regulation.
Hantz Louis-Jeune led the Bears with a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double.Â

STORY OF THE GAME
- Following a layup by Tay Smith, the Bears led 10-7 at the 15-minute mark of the first half.
- Hantz Louis-Jeune tied things up at 32-32 with 3:42 remaining in the half.
- The Cavaliers held a slim 39-38 lead at the break.
- LR started the second half strong with a tough bucket from Conrad Luczynski.
- An and-1 from Julian Dozier at the 9:01 mark of the second half gave the Bears a five-point lead.
- UVA Wise answered with an 11-2 run to take a 68-64 lead.
- Tied late, both teams missed chances in the final 45 seconds to take the lead, sending the game to overtime.
- After LR went up 79-77, the Cavaliers went on a 9-0 run, taking an 86-79 advantage with 1:22 remaining.
- The Bears cut it to one with 20 seconds remaining, but UVA Wise hit their free throws down the stretch to win this one by four.

- Conrad Luczynski (14), Julian Dozier (13), and Sam Martin (12) joined Louis-Jeune in double figures.
- Dozier led the Bears with six assists, followed by Martin with five.
- UVA Wise's Bradley Dean led all scorers with 34.
