HICKORY, NC - The press conference for new Vice President of Athletics Daron Montgomery is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th at 11 a.m. from the McGeachy Sports Performance Center.

Montgomery, who was named the new Lenoir-Rhyne Vice President for Athletics on December 17th, joins LR from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he served as Vice President for Athletics for the past nine years. Montgomery's tenure at Division II Saint Anselm saw him guide 23 varsity teams and more than 600 student-athletes to success within the Northeast 10 Conference. Under his leadership, the Hawks achieved numerous successes, includinga Field Hockey National Championship, multiple conference championships, NCAA tournament appearances, and academic honors.

This event is open to the public and parking is available on the Surface Family Practice Field. Following the press conference a reception will take place in the Bears Club Pavilion.
