HICKORY, NC - Following a successful season on the field that saw the Bears finish 10-3 and make the second round of the NCAA DII Playoffs, seven individuals have been named to the Academic All-District Team. 

All seven athletes are making their first appearance on the team. The honorees for the Bears are Nic Cheeley, Aiden Heilmann, Connor Lachesky, Damien Savage, Malik Simmons, Stewart Simmons, and Ben Watson. 

The CSC Academic All-District Award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. A minimum 3.5 GPA along with on-field factors such as minimum amounts of starts and/or participation are components in the qualification process.
