MARS HILL, NC - The Bear's offensive struggles in the second quarter led to their second straight conference defeat, falling 77-66 to the Mars Hill Lions. Blaikley Crook's season-high 24 points was not enough as Lenoir-Rhyne tied their season-high in turnovers (21) in the loss.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- Blaikley Crooks generated six of the first eight points for the Bears as both teams started strong offensively in the first quarter.
- After only making two three-pointers in their last game, Lenoir-Rhyne matched their total in the first half with three pointers from Sarah Burton and Sofia Mendez.
- Lions went on a 10-1 run in the final five minutes of the second quarter to end the half with a 32-24 lead.
- Similar to the first quarter, Blaikley Crooks led the Bears offensively with 11 points.
- Mars Hill edged out Lenoir-Rhyne 24-21 in the 3rd quarter to take a 56-45 lead entering the final frame.
- Tilda Lindstroem nailed back-to-back three pointers in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 13.
- After Mars Hill grew their largest lead of the game 70-54 with 4:36 remaining in the quarter, Lenoir-Rhyne battled back with a 12-0 run led by Blaikley Crooks and Maleiya Hill.
- Daisy Gale's layup with under a minute left in regulation extended the lead back to double digits 76-66, sealing the win for Mars Hill.

- Blaikley Crooks registered her first 20 point game of the season, finishing with 24 points and five rebounds.
- The Bears 38 rebounds is the second most boards this season LR has produced.
- Tilda Linstroem finished with 15 points and eight boards, her fourth game scoring 10+ points this season.
- The three-ball returned for LR as they shot 6-for-11 (54.5%) on the night.
- Lenoir-Rhyne generated a season-high in made free throws 20 on 23 attempts for an impressive 87% from the line.
- Mars Hill was dominate in the paint, outscoring the Bears 44-22 and 15-7 in fast break points.
- Lenoir-Rhyne shot 20-53 (37.7%) from the field, while Mars Hill was 28-57 (49.1%) from the field.
UP NEXT: Lenoir-Rhyne will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to UVA Wise to take on the Cavaliers. The Bears are looking for the season sweep after defeating the Cavaliers 77-75 back on November 30th at home.
