HICKORY, N.C. - It was an afternoon to forget for Lenoir-Rhyne women's soccer, as they fell 4-0 to visiting No. 8 North Georgia on a cold and rainy afternoon in Hickory. 
A 1-0 halftime lead for the Nighthawks turned into a 4-0 win thanks to three goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
	- The Nighthawks struck early as Grace McGill scored the game's opening goal just two and a half minutes in.
- Lenoir-Rhyne had chances as Nicole Auger saw a shot go just high and Lucia Hidalgo's shot in the 36th minute was saved by keeper Isabelle Lee. 
- Riley Miller kept the game close with five first half saves.
- North Georgia poured in on early in the second half, scoring goals in the 47th, 54th, and 57th minute to go up 4-0.
- Lenoir-Rhyne struggled to find an offensive footing, putting up just four second half shots.
- UNG out-shot the Bears 20-8 (13-4 SOG) and didn't allow a Lenoir-Rhyne corner kick.
- North Georgia led 15-5 in fouls. 
- Riley Miller tied a career high with nine saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
	- Lenoir-Rhyne is now 4-4-2 all-time vs. the Nighthawks. 
- Due to this being a non-conference contest, the Bears are still in the hunt for the SAC title, sitting just three points behind Catawba.
- The last time the Bears lost by four goals was in the 2019 NCAA Division II opening round, a 4-0 defeat to Wingate.
UP NEXT:The Bears will be back in Hickory on Saturday when they host Tusculum for senior day. The Pioneers are 7-5-2 (4-2-1 SAC) and took down Coker 3-2 on their own senior day last Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. with the senior day celebration to take place just before the game.
