Nicole Barringer and the Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team are ranked second in the first numerical NCAA Southeast Regional Rankings. The top eight teams in the final rankings will travel to the No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament.
This week's rankings are the first of two numerical lists that come out prior to the NCAA selection show on Monday, November 24th, at 7:30 p.m. on ncaa.com. Next week's rankings will also be release on Wednesday afternoon. The SAC dominated this week's rankings, as Wingate, Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, and Carson-Newman were the top four seeds.
Lenoir-Rhyne is looking for their third consecutive NCAA tournament bid for the first time in program history. The Bears have advance to the NCAA tournament seven times, including three of the last four years. Both the 2015 and 2021 teams advanced to the regional championship game.
The Bears are currently 19-6 (13-4 SAC) and will play their final regular season game Friday night when they host Lincoln Memorial for senior day at 7:00 p.m.
