Tomas Fontes made two clutch saves in an 8-7 penalty kick victory.
This is now the third time in the last four years the Bears will play for a SAC championship.

- Lenoir-Rhyne got on the board first in the 52nd minute, as David Grifell scored his first goal of the season off an flick from a Daniel Martinez free kick.
- The Bears kept pushing, peppering Anderson goalie Antoniolloi Funes Franco with four shots over the next seven minutes.
- The Trojans answered with a goal of their own in the 66th minute.
- Lenoir-Rhyne's last good chance in regulation came off the foot of Ryan Baker, but his shot was saved by Funes Franco.
- Anderson out-shot the Bears 4-1 in overtime but failed to put on on frame.
- In the penalty shootout, 14 players stepped up and 14 players made their shots, knotting it up at seven.
- After a Lenoir-Rhyne miss, Anderson's Tiago Perez's shot was saved by Tomas Fontes, keeping the Bears alive.
- Aaron Garrote calmly put his PK away and Fontes made the biggest save of his career, diving left and stopping Emmanuel Arkoh's attempt to put the Bears into the championship.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the eighth time these two teams have faced off in the SAC tournament, and the second straight year.
- The Bears' last SAC penalty kick victory also came against Anderson, that time in the 2014 semi-finals.
- David Grifell's goal was the second of his career.
