STORY OF THE MATCH:
- LR opened the match with a 5-0 lead and never looked back, cruising to a 25-17 win the first set.
- Emmaleigh Allen had seven of her thirteen kills in the opening set.
- After a first set that saw no lead changes or ties, the second set saw 12 ties and six lead changes.
- Down 21-20, the Bears closed on a 5-2 run, capped off by a Rachael Chambers kill.
- The final set was competitive but Lenoir-Ryhne was just too much, winning on a service ace from freshman Alicia Barbarito.
- Senior Emmaleigh Allen led the way with 13 kills, followed by Kayli Cleaver's 10.
- Hadley Prince's 13 digs were tops on the team while Rachael Chambers dominated at the net, finishing with seven total blocks.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The Bears have won four in a row against LMU and lead the all-time series 23-14.
- Lenoir-Rhyne now has 20 wins in three straight seasons for just the third time in program history.
- The win is the 290th SAC victory all-time
- Cleaver went over the 300 kill mark on the season with her ten kills tonight.
UP NEXT: Lenoir-Rhyne will open post season play inside the Shu on Tuesday night in the SAC Quarterfinals. The Bears will be the #3 seed in the SAC Tournament and will host #6 Tusculum in the Quarterfinals. The Bears defeated Tusculum twice in the final week of October. A 3-1 victory inside the Shu on October 28th and a sweep at Tusculum on Halloween. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
