Volleyball places five on All-SAC Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team has placed five individuals on the All-SAC team, as voted on by the conference coaches.

Kayli Cleaver was named to the first team, Emmaleigh Allen and Averie Dale to the second, and Emmie Modlin and Hadley Prince to the third.

The Bears' lone first team honoree was outside hitter Kayli Cleaver. The senior ranks second in the conference with 316 kills and third with 3.43 kills per set. She has a season high of 23 kills against Newberry and reached her 1000th career kill earlier this season.

On the All-SAC Second Team was the duo of Emmaleigh Allen and Averie Dale. Allen ranks fourth on the team with 193 kills, third with 30 service aces, and second with 258 digs. She was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Week once this season and set a new career high with 24 digs at Newberry. Dale is in the midst of a historic season as she is currently ranked sixth in the country with a .418 hitting percentage and is second in the SAC with 1.03 blocks per set. A player who can do it all, she has season totals of 214 kills, 92 blocks, 71 digs, 28 service aces, and 27 assists.

The All-SAC Third Team consists of Emmie Modlin and Hadley Prince. Modlin has been a nice addition to the squad this year, ranking fifth in the country and third in the SAC with three triple doubles, nearly reaching her fourth in the SAC quarterfinals against Tusculum. She is second on the team in kills (214) and assists (336), and third in digs (194). Prince's 463 digs not only leads the team this year, but also puts her just five digs away from tying Taylor PRall and Emily Culler for 10th all-time in Bears history for a single season. A 2X SAC Defensive Player of the Week, Prince is also tied for the team lead with 33 aces.
