HICKORY, N.C. - Head coach
Nicole Barringer and the Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team earned the #2 seed in the Southeast Regional and will face #7 seed Lander in the opening round.
The entirety of the Southeast Regional will take place at Wingate, who earned the #1 seed after finishing the regular season 28-1 with a SAC Regular Season and Tournament championship. Games will take place on Thursday, December 4th - Saturday, December 6th.
This marks the eighth all-time NCAA Tournament appearance for the Bears and the third under coach Barringer. The #2 seed is the second highest seed ever for Lenoir-Rhyne, only being bested by the 2021 squad that was a top seed. The SAC racked up the top four seeds in the Southeast Region, with Anderson earning the #3 slot and Carson Newman the #4.
Lander sits at a 20-10 (10-5 PBC) record and fell 3-2 to Flagler in the Peach Belt Championship game. The Bearcats hold a 10-8 lead in the all-time series, winning five of the previous six matchups. Lenoir-Rhyne is 1-0 in the NCAA Tournament vs. Lander, taking them down 3-1 during their run to the southeast region championship game in 2015.
