Tye Roberson and
Desmond Greene have each been named to the Don Hansen All-America Team, with Roberson earning a spot on the first team while Greene was an honorable mention honoree.
Roberson set a new program record with an average of 41.9 yards per kick return this season. That average led NCAA DII and was second amongst all NCAA divisions. He was one of just two NCAA DII athletes with three kick return touchdowns, returning one for 98 yards against Anderson, 87 yards against Mars Hill, and 95 yards vs. Catawba. He was named to the AFCA All-America First Team earlier this week.
Greene, who was named ot the D2CCA All-Super Region Two Second Team, led the SAC and tied for sixth nationally with five interceptions. The highlight of his season came when he tallied two interceptions and seven tackles in a 32-25 victory over Gulf South champions Valdosta State. He finished the season with 45 total tackles, six pass breakups, 1.5 TFL, and one fumble recovery.This is his first All-America honor.
