HICKORY- After a four game road trip, The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team returned home in thrilling fashion on Saturday, taking down Emory & Henry 92-82 in overtime.
Aaliyah El scored a career high 33 points, 10 of which were in overtime.
Lauren Arnold had her first ever double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- A steal by Peyton Harvey followed by a three from Madilyn Winterton at the buzzer put the Bears within three at 25-22 at the end of the first quarter.
- The Wasps came out on fire from the floor, shooting 64% from the floor and 66% from long range in that opening frame.
- Emory & Henry took a 46-42 lead into the break.
- The third quarter saw eight lead changes as the Bears cut the lead to 63-62 heading into the final frame.
- Wasps had a 75-68 lead with 3:09 remaining but failed to score the rest of regulation.
- After a free throw by Abigail Brown, Aaliyah El cut the lead to 75-73 with :45 seconds left.
- After the Bears forced a stop on the other end, Arnold grabbed an offensive rebound and her put back tied it at 75-75.
- The Wasps gaming winning shot missed at the horn as the Bears went to overtime for the second time this season.
- Aaliyah El scored 10 of Lenoir-Rhyne's 17 points in overtime to seal the win.
