Hickory, N.C.-- For the second straight week, the #4 Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse team defeated the #8 team in the country inside Moretz Stadium. After beating #8 Rollins last week, LR defeated #8 Indianapolis 15-13 on Saturday afternoon. The Bears will now prepare for #5 Wingate at the Crown Classic next Saturday night.
Donovan Powell and
Robert Walker each had a hat trick while
Evan Voss had a pair of goals and three assists.

STORY OF THE GAME
- A high scoring first period saw eleven total goals, as Bears scored six of the game's first seven.
- Evan Voss's second goal with :05 left in the period gave the Bears an 7-4 lead after fifteen minutes. LR had six different goal scorers in the first quarter.
- The second period was all Greyhounds as Indy kept the Bears off the scoreboard and scored four more times to take a 8-7 lead into the break.
- The Bears came out red hot after the break scoring four straight goals to retake the lead. Four different players scored as Voss assisted on two of the four goals.
- After a Greyhounds score to break the Bears run, Donovan Powell added his second goal of the quarter as LR took a 12-9 into the 4th.
- Matthew Mancini won the face-off and scored in five seconds to open the 4th quarter for the Bears. Mancini scored a pair of goals in this one.
- With the Bears up 14-9, Indianapolis made one last run, scoring four of the next five goals to cut the Bears lead to 15-13 with 1:18 left to play. Nick Floyd came up clutch, making a key save late to help the Bears close out the victory.
