HICKORY, NC - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis team continues to show progress under Head Coach
Sam Clarke, as they took down Anderson 3-0 in Hickory earlier today. This marks the second straight season the Bears have beaten the Trojans.
The doubles point was secured thanks to a 6-3 win at #1 doubles from
Nevio Dux and
Rufus Plane and a 7-5 win at #2 doubles from
Zachary Cox and
Lucas Galy.
Rufus Plane got things going with a 6-4, 7-5 win at #2 singles, which was followed by a quick 7-6, 6-2 win at #6 singles from
Lucas Galy.
Vadym Rogynskyi sealed the win with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 win at #4 singles.
Lenoir-Rhyne will be back in action next Monday when they play host to Mount Olive. This match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. from the YMCA Courts in Hickory.
