HICKORY, NC - The Lenoir-Rhyne Spirit Team is set to compete in Daytona Beach, Florida, at the National Cheerleaders Association Nationals competition this weekend.The Bears are competing in the Division II Game Day division which features routines that incorporate cheer, dance, band and mascots to mimic a football game day. 

The first round of competition starts today, Thursday, April 10th. The Bears are scheduled to hit the mat at 2:32 p.m. Fans can watch the performance live on VarsityTV. VarsityTV is included with a FloSports subscription. 

Lenoir-Rhyne looks to bring home another National Championship trophy again after winning 1st place back in 2019. The pinnacle of the entire competition comes Friday when teams perform in the finals on the iconic "Bandshell" located right on the beautiful shoreline of Daytona Beach. The Bears will learn their finals performance time as the competition progresses.
