HICKORY, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse team has placed 11 on the IWLCA NCAA Division II Academic Honor Roll. That is the most athletes of any SAC program and tied for the ninth most in the nation. In addition to the individuals, the Bears were recognized as a 2025 Academic Squad for their 3.55 GPA over the 2024-25 academic year.
This year the IWLCA honored 588 student-athletes from 83 different institutions on the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA were named IWLCA Academic Honor Squads.To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

Not only did the Bears have success in the classroom, but they showed out on the field as well. This year's squad won the most games since 2019, posted the third ranked win in school history, and won a SAC Tournament game for the first time since 2019. Campbell, Wheeler, Olson, Christensen, and Friesen were named to the All-SAC team following the conclusion of the season.
