HICKORY, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne University and City Walk Brewing have partnered to release Bear Beer. Brewed locally in Hickory, Bear Beer is a light beer with citrus wheat flavors that is perfect for game day. 

"Community and collaboration are key to our success at Cranford Hospitality and City Walk Brewing," said Zack Cranford of Cranford Hospitality. "In collaboration with Lenoir-Rhyne University, we are proud to create Bear Bear, a crowd-pleasing and easy-drinking Wheat Ale brewed with fresh citrus. Perfect for tailgating, enjoying all sports, and giving back to the University you love one beer at a time!"

A portion of each can sold will go to support Lenoir-Rhyne athletics. The first chance to drink this new beer will be at the Bears Club Annual Social on Friday, August 22nd. The beer will be on tap at the event and packs of four will be available for purchase. An official Bear Beer launch party will be held at City Walk Brewing on Saturday, August 23rd, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The beer will be available for purchase in select stores starting on August 28th.
