Cameron Womack named Assistant Director of the Bears Club

HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Athletics Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Cameron Womack as the new Assistant Director of the Bears Club, the fundraising arm of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics.

In her new role, Womack will help strengthen relationships with Lenoir-Rhyne alumni, donors, and supporters while advancing the mission and success of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics. The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears Club, the second-oldest collegiate athletics fundraising organization in North Carolina, plays a vital role in providing financial support for all Bear athletic programs.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Bears Club and am confident that my institutional knowledge, ability to cultivate relationships, and experience planning special events will position me to help the Bears Club thrive in the years ahead," Womack said. "I look forward to helping the Bears Club become the premier philanthropic organization in NCAA Division II."

Womack, who officially begins her new role on Aug. 17, joins the Bears Club after serving the previous eight years as Executive Assistant to the President at Lenoir-Rhyne. During that time, she played a vital role in supporting the work of two university presidents, the Board of Trustees, and countless campus partners. She collaborated on numerous university initiatives, including strategic planning efforts, presidential events, Board of Trustees operations, and the 2025 Presidential Inauguration.

Womack and her husband Brian (longtime Bears Club members) reside in Hickory and have a daughter, Reagan.

"We could not be more thrilled to welcome Cameron  Womack to our Bears Club team," said Bears Club Director Juju Phillips. "She brings a wealth of experience and institutional knowledge of Lenoir-Rhyne University having worked as the Executive Assistant to the President's Office. Cameron already brings a passion towards Lenoir-Rhyne. We can't wait to get started in working collaboratively to continue to grow the Bears Club."
