HICKORY, N.C. - After a scoreless first half, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer team scored three times in the second half to earn a 3-0 victory over UNC Pembroke on Wednesday evening.
Carola Busquets,
Ava Hartman and
Katie Durham scored for the Bears while
Riley Miller made six saves in goal.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- A scoreless first half saw both teams have a few opportunities but neither keep could find the back of the net. The Bears were out shot 9-4 in the first 45 minutes
- LR got on the board first in the 64th minute after Carola Busquets scored a goal from 20 yards away.
- Just four minutes later, the Braves committed a foul in the box and Ava Hartman connected on the PK to give the Bears a 2-0 lead.
- The final goal came in the 76th minute off a corner kick as Katie Durham scored from a great ball off the left foot of Isabella Zicchinolfi. This was the second straight game Durham has scored.
- Bears had 11 second half shots while the Braves only had six.
- Riley Miller made three saves in both halves.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The Bears have won four of the last five against the Braves.
- Hartman's penalty kick was the 10th goal of her young career.
- Busquets's goal the fourth of her career.
