WINGATE, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne prevailed over Wingate on Monday, taking down the Bulldogs 1-0 to stay undefeated in conference play. 

This game began on Saturday, but the final 37 minutes had to be played Monday due to weather delays on Saturday.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

• The teams combined for eight shots in the first 27 minutes.
• Lucia Hidalgo got the breakthrough goal in the 33rd minute, powering in a shot from 22 yards out. 
• Kaitlyn Marcinowski had a late opportunity, but a save from Wingate's Sydney Schnarr kept the game even at the break.
• In the 53rd minute the game went into a long lightning delay that eventually would postpone the game until Monday.
• The Bears out-shot the Bulldogs 6-3 after the three-day delay, but neither team could put the ball in the back of the net. 
• Riley Miller made a diving save on Angela Maino in the 77th minute to keep the game at 1-0. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• Lenoir-Rhyne has won three straight against Wingate and haven't given up a goal since their 1-1 tie in 2022. 
• The Bears haven't lost on the road in Wingate since a 4-2 setback in 2011.
• Lucia Hidalgo now has five goals on the year.
• Lenoir-Rhyne is one of three undefeated conference teams.
