EMORY, VA - It was a banner day for the Lenoir-Rhyne women's basketball program. Head coach
Emry Tsitouris and her squad took down Emory & Henry 120-70 this afternoon, coming one point shy of the school points record of 121 set against Mars Hill during the 1980-81 season.
Setting a new school record was junior
Tatum Bowen, who hit 10 threes en route to a career high 37 point performance. The 10 threes broke Kennedy Weigt's record of eight set against USC Aiken on November 9, 2019.
The team also broke two records, hitting 19 threes to break their own mark from earlier this season, and scoring 69 first half points to break the record of 59 set against Newberry in 2003.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- A fast paced game early, Emory & Henry led 19-13 at the halfway mark of the first quarter.
- Madilyn Winterton hit a jumper to spark a 19-4 run to end the quarter for the Bears.
- Elyseia Brown and Tatum Bowen hit threes early in the second quarter to push the lead to 45-26.
- Abigail Brown hit a three with 6:20 remaining in the half to give the Bears 50 points.
- Lenoir-Rhyne allowed just one Wasp field goal over the final 5:30 of play to lead 69-34 at the break.
- The Bears dominated the third, outscoring Emory & Henry 31-14 in the frame and going 13-23 from the field.
- Bowen hit a three with 28 second left to give the Bears 100 points heading into the fourth.
- Bowen scored 17 of Lenoir-Rhyne's 20 fourth quarter points, hitting four threes in the process.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Tatum Bowen scored 37 points on 11-20 from the field, 10-19 from three, and 5-5 from the free throw line.
- Abigail Brown (18), Elyseia Brown (13), and Aaliyah El (12) joined Bowen in double figures.
- Lauren Arnold and Ralee Bare tied for the team high with six boards.
- Peyton Harvey, Madilyn Winterton, and El each finished with four assists.
- El led with four steals while Amiya Porter, Bowen, and Winterton each had three.
- Lenoir-Rhyne was 41-84 (48.8%) from the field, 19-44 (43.2%) from three and 19-22 (86.4%) from the free throw line.
- Emory & Henry was 24-58 (41.4%) from the field, 6-22 (27.3%) from three, and 16-21 (76.2%) from charity stripe.
- The Bears bench outscored Emory & Henry as a team 71-70.
- Lenoir-Rhyne turned the Wasps over 27 times, converting those into 35 points.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tatum Bowen's 10 threes are tied for the most in NCAA DII this season.
- The team's 19 threes are tied for the fifth most in NCAA DII this season.
- Bowen is the fifth Bear to lead the team in points in game this year.
- Lenoir-Rhyne is 7-0 all-time against Emory & Henry.
- Aaliyah El has scored in double-figures in all but three games this season.
- With Coker playing Carson-Newman today, Lenoir-Rhyne will be one of two teams tied for the top of the SAC standings.
