Men's Soccer falls in PKs to Emory & Henry in SAC opening round

EMORY, VA - It was the highest of highs and the lowest of lows for the Bears on Saturday night. Facing No. 1 seeded Emory & Henry in the SAC opening round, Aaron Garrote scored a goal in the closing minutes to send the game to overtime. Following a scoreless OT, the host Wasps won 4-3 in PKs to send the home side to a second straight SAC semi-final.

Despite the loss, goalkeeper Liam Prendergast made 12 saves in the game, the most for a Bear since Stefan Dill notched 17 against Carson-Newman on October 13, 2012. He also made two saves in the penalty kick shootout.
