ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne women's soccer team has placed seven individuals on the All-SAC Team, tied with Catawba for the most in the conference.
Mya Rivera was Lenoir-Rhyne's lone representative on the First Team.
Ava Hartman,
Rosa Gonzalez, and
Skylar Noll were named to the Second Team, while
Lucia Hidalgo,
Alexis Cagno, and
Kennedy Flowers were named to the Third Team.
Making her first appearance on the All-SAC First Team and earning her second All-SAC honor was
Mya Rivera. She is tied for the team lead with five goals on the year, including game winners over Emory & Henry and Mars Hill. She scored the first two goals for the Bears in a 3-2 comeback victory over Francis Marion early in the year, a victory which is proving to be key in the fight for an NCAA Tournament bid. Rivera has been on the field more than anyone else on the team this year, starting all 18 games and playing 1,520 minutes.
Ava Hartman is making her third consecutive appearance on an All-SAC team. The Hickory native has posted a goal and three assists this season, with that lone goal being a game winner over Anderson.
Rosa Gonzalez is the anchor for a defense that has allowed just 18 goals all season and posted eight shutouts, second in the conference behind only Catawba. This is her third consecutive All-SAC appearance and her first on the second team.
Skylar Noll started in 15 games this season, by far the most of her career, and is making her first All-SAC appearance. The senior won SAC Defensive Player of the Week a month ago and is Lenoir-Rhyne's main set piece taker. She picked up assists against Concord and Anderson.
Lucia Hidalgo is making her second All-SAC appearance and her first as a Bear. The junior, known for her technical prowess, controls the game through the midfield and the final third. She has scored one goal this season, a rocket from 30 yards out in a 2-0 win at Carson-Newman. Midfielder
Alexis Cagno is making her first All-SAC appearance. The senior is tied for the team lead with five goals, the most in her career.
Kennedy Flowers is making her first All-SAC appearance and ranks second on the team with 1,476 minutes played, starting all 18 games. She has seven points on the year, coming off two goals and three assists. She scored the game winning goal in the comeback victory over Francis Marion in early September.
