MARS HILL, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne went into Mars Hill on Saturday and defeated the home side 91-74.
10 Bears found their way into the scoring column, led by 16 points from both
Conrad Luczynski and
Akili Evans.
Julian Dozier put forth one of his best offensive performances of the season, scoring 15 points on 6-7 from the field while dishing out four assists.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- Despite an early Bears advantage Mars Hill fought back to take an 18-16 lead with 10:48 remaining in the half.
- A layup from Conrad Luczynski sparked a 9-0 run from Lenoir-Rhyne to take back the lead.
- A few minutes later Tyler Burraston gave the Bears a 13-point lead on a three.
- The teams played fairly even the rest of the half and Lenoir-Rhyne went into the break leading 45-34.
- A quick layup from Akili Evans and three from Junior Hodnett put the Bears on top 50-34 just over a minute into the second half.
- That lead was pushed to 21 (62-41) just a few minutes later on a jumper from Luczynski.
- The Lions never got closer than 15 in the second half as the Bears came away with the comfortable 17-point victory.

- Conrad Luczynski and Akili Evans both scored 16 points on a combined 11-16 from the field.
- Luczynski set a new career high with four steals.
