HICKORY, N.C. - It was a historic day for the Bears as they posted their largest ever win over a ranked team in program history, defeating No.13 Catawba 22-8 on the road. The player of the game for the Bears was
Donovan Powell, who tied the program record with eight goals in the contest.
Powell equalled Joe Buduo's record of eight goals that was set on March 21, 2018, vs. Queens. Powell also added two assists for a total of 10 points, tied for the second most in school history.

- An Owen Scott goal sparked a 6-0 run for the Bears to end the first quarter leading 7-3.
- Donovan Powell scored two goals in the second quarter and Lenoir-Rhyne led 11-6 at the break.
- The Bears outscored the Catawba Indians 8-1 in the third to pull away.
- Seven Bears scored in that third period alone, including two more from Powell.
- Powell started and ended the fourth with goals to tie the record and seal the big win.
