HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's and women's track & field teams opened up their outdoor season at the Bob Davidson Invitational, hosted by High Point University.
The sprints were the highlight of the meet as the men and women's sprint squads (100/200) combined to post 15 top-20 finishes amongst Division I competition.
"It feels really good to be outside and see how many good sprint performances we put together at this point of the year," said Director of Track & Field
Bob Braman. "Coach Eddie has been working hard with these kids and it shows. This was an extremely encouraging start to the year."
Leading the way was
Khalid Hornsby, who took second in the 200 with a new Lenoir-Rhyne best time of 21.36, good enough to tie for ninth on LR's all-time list.
Corey Baker and Hornsby took fifth and sixth in the 100 while
Jordan Fennell was ninth in the 400 with a new personal best time of 48.91.
Jani Day and
