ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's basketball team picked up a big 88-80 victory over Emory & Henry in the SAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday.
Leading the way for the Bears was big man
Conrad Luczynski as he finished with 24 points, six boards, and three blocks. SAC Newcomer of the Year
Akili Evans wasn't far behind Luczynski, finishing with 19 points on 5-6 from the field and 8-12 from the free throw line.
Two program single season records were set today.
Conrad Luczynski broke Ryan Pitts and Tony Mallard's program record of 76 blocks with his 77th, and
Tyler Burraston took down Will Perry's three pointers made record of 101, hitting four to move to his season total to 102.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- The teams traded buckets early and saw themselves tied at 15-15 before a Conrad Luczynski tip-in layup put the Bears ahead.
- Two threes in the next few minutes from Tyler Burraston put Lenoir-Rhyne up 28-21.
- Emory & Henry battled to tie things up late but a Luczynski and-1 put Lenoir-Rhyne ahead 39-36 at the break.
- Akili Evans opened the second half by scoring seven of Lenoir-Rhyne's first nine points.
- An Evans dunk midway through the half put Lenoir-Rhyne up 65-52, their largest lead of the game.
- The Wasps answered with an 18-6 run to cut the Bear lead to just one, 71-70.
- Lenoir-Rhyne hit their free throws late to pull away from the #7 seeded Wasps.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Conrad Luczynski (24), Akili Evans (19), Tyler Burraston (14), and Blessin Kimble (11) finished in double figures.
- Julian Dozier was tops with four assists while Evans led with four steals.
- Lenoir-Rhyne was 27-45 (60%) from the field, 6-11 (54.5%) from three, and 28-45 (62.2%) from the free throw line.
- Emory & Henry was 29-65 (44.6%) from the field, 15-34 (44.1%) from three, and 7-12 on free throws.
- This game featured six ties and two lead changes.

- This is the 16th time the Bears have advanced past the first round of the SAC Tournament.
- The Bears and Wasps had never met in the SAC Tournament prior to tonight.
- In their three games against the Wasps this year Lenoir-Rhyne has gone a combined 91-127 (71.6%) from the free throw line.
