BELMONT, N.C. - Belmont Abbey scored 14 runs over the fourth and fifth innings to pull away from the Bears and win 21-5 on Tuesday night.
The Lenior-Rhyne pitching struggled in this one as the eight pitchers gave up a combined 18 hits, 15 earned runs, and hit six batters.

- Sylas Boris got the game started with a two-run home run in the second.
- Lleyton Lackey kept the Bears ahead in the third by scoring on a throwing error.
- The Crusaders scored four in the fourth and 10 in the fifth, sending 16 batters to the plate in that inning.
- After three more BAC runs in the seventh, Trent Murchison scored in the eighth to stop the 17-0 Belmont Abbey run.
STATS OF GAME:
- Trent Murchison was the lone Bear with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a run scored.
- The Bear offense produced nine hits but left 11 on base.
- Hugo Tafoya (3-2) started the game and took the loss.
- Belmont Abbey's Joe Whitaker was 3-for-5 with seven RBIs.
