HIGH POINT, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne took part in the yearly Vertklasse Meeting on Thursday and Friday, putting together some impressive performances.
On the women's side,
Sharonda Priester and
Jani Day each set new personal bests with times of 54.34 and 54.38 in the 400 to finish first and second.
Zanetta Udo-Obong also set a new personal best time of 11.62 to take 5th in the 100m dash.Â
Havyn Spain led the men with a first place finish in the 200m dash, setting a new personal best time of 20.75. That now ranks third on Lenoir-Rhyne's all-time list. He also went 46.70 in the 400m to take third and come within 0.01 of his personal best. On the distance side,
Lewis Budgen took second in the 5000m with a time of 14:39.05, setting his third program record of the year.
Liam Sutton and
Antonyio Davis took third and fourth in the 110m hurdles with times of 14.20 and 14.27, both NCAA provo marks and personal bests.
Malachi Carter blitzed the 100m participate group with a time of 10.50.

Lenoir-Rhyne will be in Hickory next week when they compete in the annual Southside Power and Fitness Invitational. The meet will take place on Friday and Saturday as a part of Lenoir-Rhyne's BeaRaPaLooZa celebration.Â
