FLORENCE, S.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne softball saw their season end on Saturday, falling 6-5 to host Francis Marion.
Lenoir-Rhyne led 5-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh, but a 2 RBI double from the Patriots' Maddy Golka sent the home side to next week's super regional.
The Bears finish their season with a 41-15 record and a SAC Regular Season Championship.

STORY OF GAME:
- Lenoir-Rhyne jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a 3-run home run from Madison Primm in the third.
- Francis Marion scored two in the third and two in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead.
- Madison Wilson drove in the game tying run in the sixth, then scored two batters later on an RBI from Lani Warren.
- The Patriots put two runners on with a passed ball strikeout and single, and won with a 2 RBI double two batters later.
