EMPORIA, KS - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up their 2026 season this weekend at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Emporia, Kansas.
The women saw both
Sharonda Priester and
Mackenzie Pringle be named First Team All-Americans. Due to their high finishes, the women tied for 23rd as a team with 12 points.
Sharonda Priester finished second in the 400m hurdles, setting a new personal best with a time of 57.24. This makes her the 10th fastest women in the history of NCAA Division II in that event.
Mackenzie Pringle set a new personal best and broke the school record on her last jump of the triple jump competition, leaping to a mark of 12.73m (41-9.25). This mark placed her fifth in the event, one spot better than her sixth place finish at indoor nationals.
The men saw
Tobechukwu Nwokocha and
Havyn Spain earn second team All-America status. Nwokocha reached the final with a leap of 7.26m (23-10) on his third jump. He failed to imrove on that in the final, with a long fifth jump being scratched due to his foot being slightly over the line. That third jump placed in him ninth in the competition.
Havyn Spain made his first outdoor appearance in the 200m dash, running a time of 21.10 to place him 14th and give him a second consecutive All-American honor in that event.
West Texas A&M won the women's team title while Grand Valley State took home the men's.
