Grad (2024): Lauren tied her career high in appearances on the circle (37) and wins (21) in her fifth year with the Bears. She pitched over 197 innings with an ERA of of 3.42. She also struck out 214 batters and allowed 75 earned runs in 20 starts. Lauren produced her best offensive season of her career in 2024 with career highs in home runs (18), RBIs (47), and hits (41). 
 

Senior (2023): Lauren was named to NCFA Second Team All-Region and SAC First Team All-Conference. She hit .311 with 9 HR's and 28 RBIs at the plate while going 9-4 with a 3.06 ERA in the circle. Rakes added 121 strikeouts in 84 2/3 innings pitched with a pair of saves. 


Junior (2022): Lauren threw a no-hitter in the first round of the SAC Tournament First Round against Tusculum on 4/29/22. During her junior season, she went 21-5 with a 2.23 ERA and tossed 194 2/3 Innings while striking out 305 hitters. She is only the second pitcher in program history with at least 300 strikeouts in a season and had 16 double-digit strikeout games including striking out 17 hitters in relief in an extra inning win against Francis Marion on 2/26/22. She picked up her first NCAA Tournament win against Wingate on 5/12/22 while throwing 9 innings complete game.



Sophomore (2021): Lauren was named honorable mention All-SAC Team. She threw a team lead 103 2/3 innings in the circle and finished with a 7-7 record with a 3.24 ERA while striking out 120 hitters. She also drove in 19 runs with a .275 at the plate. Lauren added seven doubles and five runs scored. 


Freshman (2020): Lauren went 9-3 on the circle with a 2.66 ERA and pitched 68 1/3 innings in the circle for the Bears, while striking out 72 hitters. Lauren offensively had a .431 batting average with 25 hits in 58 at-bats adding 6 home runs and 20 RBIs. One of the biggest accomplishments during her first year with the bears was throwing a complete game shutout and driving in the only run in a 1-0 victory at #16 North Georgia on February 9. Lauren registered 9 wins which tied her teammate for second in the SAC conference.

High School: Lauren attended East Wilkes High where she played Tennis, Basketball, Track and Softball. MVAC Pitcher and Player of the Year. All-State four times.
