HICKORY, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne University will host the opening weekend of the 2023 South Atlantic Conference Tournament from Thursday, April 27 - Saturday, April 29 at Bears Field. This will be the first year the SAC hosted a two-weekend SAC Tournament with each the one and two seeds hosting Opening Round action to mimic NCAA Regional Play. The Bears will welcome No. 3 seed Lincoln Memorial, No. 6 seed Catawba and No. 7 seed Limestone in a double-elimination bracket. The winner will move on to the Championship Series against the winner of the bracket hosted by No. 1 seed Wingate. The Championship Series opens next Wednesday.

Venue Information:
- Prohibited items include alcohol, large bags, artificial noisemakers, weapons, and tobacco products
- Tents will not be allowed in any seating area.
- Umbrellas will not be allowed in the section directly behind home plate.
- Re-Entry is permitted
- Portable Restrooms are available for spectator use
- Food Trucks will be on site each day for food and drink sales
- The ART Building will be open only to credentialed personnel, umpires, athletes, and team personnel. Spectators will not be allowed in the ART building.
- If the venue needs to be evacuated due to inclement weather, spectators must leave the ticketed area and are encouraged to return to their vehicles.
- Parking and tailgating are permitted in any available lot on campus.
- LR is not responsible for damage or injury caused by objects leaving the playing field
Fan and Patron Conduct:
The NCAA, the SAC and LRU support good sportsmanship and will not tolerate abusive actions, language, or gestures from fans, players, coaches or officials. Extreme or continued acts of unsportsmanlike behavior is grounds for dismissal from the contest. Inappropriate language or actions directed towards athletes, coaches, umpires, staff or public safety officers will not be tolerated and may be grounds for immediate removal from campus.
