Lenoir-Rhyne University Athletics

Airon Reyes joined the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer staff as a volunteer assistant in 2026. He is a former professional soccer player and experienced coach with more than 15 years of coaching at every level of the game, from youth development to the professional ranks.

As a player, Reyes competed for Real Club Deportivo España in Honduras from 2002 to 2006, progressing through the club's reserve, semi-professional, and first-team programs. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and quickly established himself as one of the youngest head coaches to manage at the professional level, taking charge of Deportivo Ocotal in Nicaragua's top division at the age of 30. He also served as head coach of Club Deportivo Social Sol in Honduras and has held coaching positions with multiple semi-professional and professional clubs throughout Central America.

Since moving to the United States, Reyes has continued to develop players across a wide range of competitive environments, including youth academies, private training for collegiate athletes, semi-professional players, and UPSL clubs. His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, tactical intelligence, and helping players maximize their potential in a professional, player-centered environment.
