Sarah Hansley

Sarah Hansley enters her second season on the Lenoir-Rhyne coaching staff and her first as an Assistant Coach. Hansley previously served as the Graduate Assistant in 2018 after a tremendous playing career with the Bears.

Hansley played from 2013-17 with the Bears and was part of three SAC Regular Season Championship teams. Her squads advanced to NCAA Division II Regional Qualifiers in 2014, 2016 and 2017. 

In 2017, Hansley was named SAC Player of the Year after hitting .429 with 12 homeruns and 55 runs batted in. Hansley belted 21 doubles, scored 43 runs and had a .753 slugging percentage. On top of her Player of the Year accolade, Hansley was also named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-State and the CCA NCAA Division II Southeast Region Player of the Year. Additionally, she was named a National Fast Pitch Coaches Association All-American. 

Not only a standout on the field, Hansley won the Wayne B. Powell Student-Athlete Award of Excellence in 2017.

Sarah graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Human and Community Service and is from Charlotte, N.C.
