Greeneville, Tenn. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Soccer Team (10-7, 5-4) wrapped up the regular season with a 4-1 victory over league-rival Tusculum College (2-12-3, 1-8) Saturday night at Pioneer Field behind junior forward Nicky Matthews' (Bradford, ENGLAND) second consecutive hat trick.

Matthews, who now has a team-leading 12 goals on the year, helped the Bears rally from a 1-0 deficit en route to L-R's second straight win.?

After Tusculum's David Montes (Coral Springs, Fla.) opened the scoring at the 13:37 mark of the first half with a header off a deflected shot, Matthews tied the contest with 1:21 remaining before intermission with a goal from the top of the box.

Lenoir-Rhyne, which held a 23-5 advantage in shots for the match, took complete in the second half after Tusculum was forced to play with a man down.

L-R scored all three goals in the second half and held a 15-0 margin in shots taken after intermission including junior midfielder George Wilson's (London, ENGLAND) game-winner on a long cross by senior forward Dave Bailey (Bath, ENGLAND) at the 58:11 mark.

Matthews rounded out the scoring for Lenoir-Rhyne in the 60th and 86nd minutes, respectively.? Bailey and junior midfielder Jordan Holmes (Southport, ENGLAND) were credited with the assists for the Bears, who have outscored their last two opponents by a 9-1 count.

Lenoir-Rhyne senior goalkeeper Tom Heath (Solihull, ENGLAND) picked up the win after allowing just one goal while stopping four shots.? Tusculum's Andy Goellner (Denver, Colo.) suffered the loss in goal despite making 10 saves.
