Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team (8-1, 3-0) remained undefeated in the South Atlantic Conference with a 2-0 victory over Brevard College (3-7-1, 1-3) Wednesday evening at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.
Junior forward Laura Linehan (San Diego, Calif.) and junior midfielder Catherine Hauck (Lake Mary, Fla.) each scored for the Bears, who ran their winning streak to seven and started 8-1 for the second consecutive season.
Linehan took a short cross from junior midfielder Kaelia Frazier (Cedar Falls, Iowa) and placed the ball in the back of the net in the 15th minute for her fourth goal of the year to open the scoring.
Hauck made it 2-0 with her second goal in as many games with a strike to the top left corner of the net at the 34:38 mark of the first half.? Frazier assisted on the second goal as well for the Bears.
L-R, ranked sixth in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Rankings, held a 38-5 advantage in shots taken and improved to 5-0 at home this year.

Lenoir-Rhyne travels to Harrogate, Tenn., to face Lincoln Memorial on Saturday in a key league contest Saturday at 2 p.m.? Brevard, meanwhile, returns home to take on Wingate Saturday at 2 p.m.
