Greeneville, Tenn. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (8-8-3) scored three second half goals en route to a 3-0 victory over Tusculum (7-8-3) Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Food Lion SAC Tournament.? The Bears are the seventh seed in the tournament while the Pioneers are the No. 2 seed.

Lenoir-Rhyne will take on sixth-seeded Catawba on Friday in the semifinals of the league tournament at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C., beginning at 3 p.m.? Catawba defeated the No. 3 seed, Mars Hill, by a 1-0 score Tuesday night on the road.

After a scoreless first half, the Bears finally got on the?board in the 71st minute?when sophomore midfielder Mehmet Karakilinc (Lanester, FRANCE) scored his second goal in as many matches.? Karakilinc scored from about 25 yards out to the far post off an assist from junior defender Chris Johnson (Liverpool, ENGLAND).

Sophomore forward Chibuzo Nwosu (Macon, Ga.) made it a 2-0 Lenoir-Rhyne advantage at the 87:02 mark of the contest after scoring off a cross from sophomore defender Sean Rogers (Dublin, IRELAND).? The goal was Nwosu's team-leading sixth of the season.

Rogers rounded out the scoring with six seconds left, his fifth goal of the year, on a turnover by the Pioneer goalkeeper.

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) picked up the shutout win in goal.? Dill stopped four shots for his?third shutout of the 2011 season?while Tusculum goalkeeper Andy Goellner (Denver, Colo.) suffered the loss.
