Hickory, N.C. - The Limestone College Women's Lacrosse Team (17-0) remained undefeated on the year after downing Lenoir-Rhyne University (6-9), 21-2, Friday evening at Moretz Stadium.? The Saints are ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division II.
The Saints' Racquel Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) led all scorers with five goals while Kelly Lalonde (Henrietta, N.Y.) dished out five assists to lead Limestone to the win.
Sarah Oor (Uxbridge, CANADA) added a pair of goals and an assist for the Saints, who held a 30-12 advantage in shots taken.
L-R freshman Kelsey Anderson (Wilmington, N.C.) scored both of the Bears' goals in the losing effort.
After Anderson's first goal cut the margin to 4-1 with 20:11 left in the first half, Limestone reeled off 10 straight goals to take complete control en route to the easy victory.
Limestone's Rashelle McLellan (East Lyme, Conn.) won in goal after stopping six shots while freshman goalkeeper Amanda Cotto (Fort Myers, Fla.) suffered the loss despite making seven saves for the Bears.
Lenoir-Rhyne wraps up its regular season at home on Wednesday when it hosts Rollins (Fla.) beginning at 4:00 p.m.? Limestone also hosts Rollins in its last regular season match of the 2011 campaign next Saturday, May 7, at Noon.
