Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Overwhelms Erskine, 23-3

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Kaelyn Bildsten scored five times in an overwhelming 23-3 victory over Erskine Friday afternoon in a women's lacrosse match at Moretz Stadium in Hickory, N.C.

Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team (3-2) made it two wins in a row with an easy 23-3 victory over Erskine (1-4) Friday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

L-R freshman Mary Minick (Marietta, Ga.) led all scorers with six goals while sophomore Kaelyn Bildsten (Westerville, Ohio) added five goals in the win.

Erskine's goals were scored by Alesia Jerrells (Columbia, S.C.), Samantha Burns (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) and Denise Zani (Greenville, S.C.).

The Bears were in control throughout the match as it scored the first seven goals and led by a 12-1 score at intermission.

Freshman Lauren Donovan (Hollywood, Md.) added three goals and three assists for the Bears, who also held a 41-10 edge in shots taken and a 33-28 advantage in ground balls in the victory.

Lenoir-Rhyne freshman goalkeeper Allison Senft (Marietta, Ga.) was credited with the win after limiting Erskine to just three scores while tallying six saves.?

The Flying Fleet's Kaitlyn Overley (Columbia, S.C.) suffered the loss in goal despite stopping 13 shots on the day.? Burns also added a pair of assists for Erskine.

Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home to face Wheeling Jesuit on Monday afternoon?beginning at 4:00 p.m.? Erskine, meanwhile, hosts Lees-McRae Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
