Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (6-3-1, 3-2) put together another strong performance with a 3-0 shutout victory over Queens (5-4, 2-3) in a South Atlantic Conference match Saturday evening at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex.

The Bears took control early when junior forward Ismael Noumansana (Reims, FRANCE) scored just 4:52 into the contest.  Noumansana recovered his own blocked shot in the box off a corner kick and found the back of the net for his team-leading ninth score of the year.

Lenoir-Rhyne made it 2-0 when junior defender Kevin Nadeau (Morganton, N.C.) scored off a goal kick from junior Zach King (Altamonte Springs, Fla.), who was credited with the assist, at the 29:49 mark of the first half.

Sophomore midfielder Israel Ramirez (Newton, N.C.) rounded out the scoring in the 82nd minute of the contest.  Ramirez scored off a corner kick while senior midfielder Mitch Botfield (Walsall, ENGLAND) and sophomore forward Marc Fernandez (Barcelona, SPAIN) both assisted on the play.  Both Nadeau and Ramirez scored their first goals of the year.

King made four stops while earning the shutout victory in goal while Queens goalkeeper Sergio Lemus (Santiago, CHILE) suffered the loss despite making three saves on the evening.
