Charlotte, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (9-6, 5-4) defeated Queens (3-11, 3-6), 56-51, in a South Atlantic Conference road game Wednesday evening at Curry Arena.

Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) led the way with a career-tying 24 points while sophomore guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) added 11 points as the Bears rallied from a 30-25 halftime deficit to take the victory.
The Royals, losers of three straight games, were led by McKell Oliverio (Florence, Ky.) with 14 points and Cheyenne Logan (Asheville, N.C.) with 10 points despite the setback.
Lenoir-Rhyne used a 12-0 run midway through the third period to take the lead for good. The run was capped off by a lay-up from Suddreth with 2:01 left in the stanza to give the Bears a 43-38 advantage.
Senior center
Chelsey Romero (Hampton, Va.) added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Bears, who picked up their first league regular season on the road this year.
In the next round of South Atlantic Conference contests on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., Lenoir-Rhyne hosts Mars Hill while Queens travels to Greeneville, Tenn., to take on Tusculum.
